The artificial intelligence would be used to connect Publicis Group’s 80,000 employees in an intelligent way. Now, that platform is seeing its first official public demo. The AI was debuted at VivaTech conference last week and the demo video has now been published. Publicis is a global giant in communication, marketing, and digital transformation. The company used its Publicis.Sapient platform as the underpinning architecture of Marcel. Microsoft was on hand to build the AI platform on its Azure and Office 365 services. Publicis has confidentially talked up Marcel, saying the AI will change how industries can connect.
This will be achieved through seamless collaboration between employees. The AI will power the following connections:
First of all, by identifying relevant connections amongst the organization’s 80,000 employees. If there is someone out there in one of Publicis Groupe’s agencies who can help an employee, Marcel will find her or him.
Second, by collecting, organizing and curating Publicis Groupe’s collective knowledge Marcel will enable employees to take full advantage of the combined experiences and insights that exist around its group.
Finally, and perhaps most importantly, by giving every employee the power to participate and create more, beyond their immediate boundaries. Through the M-Labs, the incubator for the Marcel platform, Publicis Groupe has been testing new collaborative models that are already driving results for some of its major global clients.
Connecting a Company
Publicis’ 80,000 employees span 200 fields in 130 countries. The goal is to make communication instant and collaboration efficient. In its beta phase, Marcel has been used by 100 employees and will increase to 1,000 in the coming weeks. The company aims for a full roll out by January and wants 80% of its employees connected by 2020.
