Unfortunately, the preview phase has done nothing to ease the unnecessarily complex process of connecting Discord chat to Xbox consoles. Players need to connect their Xbox (Microsoft) account with their Discord account. Firstly, this involves opening the Xbox mobile app. This is necessary because the feature works by transferring Discord calls from the app to the console. Next, connect your accounts. Unfortunately, even if you have done this in the past you will need to do it again to have the correct voice call permissions. It’s not over yet as whenever you want to do a Discord voice call on Xbox, you need to start it in Discord and select “Transfer to Xbox”. Then select the Xbox console in the Xbox mobile app, and then it’s done.
Discord to Xbox Calls
So, no direct ability to join a Discord call on the console itself. However, users can do a voice call from Discord to Xbox. There is a new Join on Xbox button included in the Discord app to allow this communication. Despite this complicated process, Discord on Xbox is still a great integration. “Discord started as a way to bring people together around games, no matter what platform they use. Voice on Xbox has been something that Discord users around the world have been asking for, and we’re stoked to bring it to everyone with the help of our friends at Xbox,” said Discord regarding today’s launch. Tip of the day: When Windows 10 or Windows 11 has issues, it’s not rare to run into startup problems. Corrupted Windows files, incorrect system configuration, driver failure, or registry tweaks can all cause this issue. Using Windows startup repair can fix boot issues caused by the most prevalent issues. Though it may seem that all is lost when you run into startup problems, it’s important to try a Windows boot repair so you can at least narrow down the source of the issue. If it doesn’t work, you may have to reinstall the OS or test your hardware.
